WHO AM I?
Hi! I'm Mert, also known professionally as "Pizza Mert" and known online as "Pizza".I'm a 22 years old artist and a fine arts student based in Turkey, who recently worked on variant covers for TMNT (2024) #19 (Cover D) and Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Coastal Chaos #1 (Cover C) for IDW. Other than comic work, I've done collaboration artworks for NetEase.For a while now, I've been sharing my artwork primarily on Twitter (X) and Instagram, I mostly draw comic fanart apart from my professional art career. I usually create wholesome and humorous comic art.In addition to creating and illustrating short comics, I also participate in (and sometimes start) art trends, and share my ideas and headcanons about the media I'm passionate about.A major turning point in my art journey was my short fan-comic "A Letter From: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man", which received significant attention and support online. Although it doesn't quite reflect my current portfolio and I've improved my art, since then I've continued creating comic related art & short comics, and I love what I do!

My biggest goal right now is to draw an official cover for The Amazing Spider-ManAs for my ultimate dream, if I can one day reach the financial and skill level it requires, I want to bring to life my original semi post apocalyptic universe, currently under the codename Free Bird, as a passion project comic book.It's a deeply character-focused universe that I’ve been building in my mind and through small sketches and stories for several years. I hope to bring it to life either on my own or with a team that I lead and work closely with.This is not from ego, but from a feeling deep in my heart: I truly believe that people will love and connect with the characters and stories of this universe as passionately as I do.On a more personal note, I'd also love to someday see these stories adapted into an animated series or film.

As the title suggests, this comic features Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man as the main character, and revolves around a letter he writes to the reader. I first shared this fan-comic on Twitter back on August 20, 2025, where it was well received and appreciated by many people, including Joe Kelly: an award-winning American comic book writer, artist, and editor.You can easily access and read it from the section below! How can I contact you for commissions?
When contacting me about a commission, please provide a detailed description of what you are looking for upfront. This helps me get back to you more easily and speeds up the process. It is best to reach out via email, though you can also contact me on Twitter or Instagram.If I don't respond within 2–3 days, it likely means my commission slots are full or are currently closed :(
Are you currently accepting commissions?
Unfortunately no.
How does the payment process work?
I request 50% of the agreed price upfront. Throughout the process, I will send you progress images with a watermark to ensure the final piece looks exactly how you want. After finish, you pay the remaining 50% and I deliver the final files.
If you prefer, you're welcome to pay the full amount upfront!
What payment methods do you accept?
Unfortunately, platforms like PayPal are not available in Turkey. So, I accept payments via Buy Me A Coffee's shop system, where I'll create a custom commission listing specifically for you.
Do you accept NSFW or potentially sensitive content?
No. I don't accept NSFW, gore, or content that may be considered problematic.Drawings that contain wounds and blood like characters with battle damaged costumes or with fight scars on their body that carries significant importance for the context of the illustration is not much of a problem.
